Staying Safe with Social Networking Websites

Friday 30 May 2008 @ 11:28 pm

When it comes to internet safety, a large amount of focus has been placed on teenagers and the use of social networking websites. Although it is important for teenagers to be careful when using these popular websites, they are not the only ones who should be concerned with their safety. If you are an adult, who enjoys networking online, you should also be cautious when it comes to meeting and communicating with other internet users.

Although social networking websites are a great place to meet other internet users, especially ones with interests that are similar to yours, they can also be dangerous. In recent years, there have been numerous reports of instances when individuals were harmed when they went to meet an individual that they met on an online social network, which includes dating websites. If you are not careful and cautious, the same thing could happen to you. This does not mean that you should be filled with fear; however, it does mean that you need to be cautious online.

One of the many ways that you can protect yourself, when it comes to using online social networking websites, is by watching what you post online, particularly in your profile. You may not know this, but a large number of networking sites, including MySpace, FriendFinder, and Yahoo! 360 allow all internet users to see your profile or profile page. These internet users do not necessarily have to be a member of your online community. This means that although your networking community may be safe, there are still unsavory individuals out there who could easily obtain your personal information.

In addition to the information that you make available to other internet users, including member profiles, you are advised to be cautious when making contact with other internet users, especially those that contact you. A large number of social networking websites have open memberships. Essentially, this means that anyone can easily join and become a member. Just because someone says they are who they are doesn’t necessarily mean that they are telling the truth. If at any point during your conversations you feel that you are speaking with someone who is making you feel comfortable or not telling the truth, you are advised to end your conversation.

For many individuals it is enough to chat with others online, but for some it is not enough. Whether you are asked to meet with an online friend or if you initiated the meeting yourself, you are advised to be cautious. You will not want to meet with an individual who you have only known online for a short period of time. For safety reasons, it is advised that you speak with one of your online friends at least a month before agreeing to meet with them. If and when that meeting does take place, you are urged to have it in a public place. That way if your meeting does not go as well as you had originally planned, you will be able to ensure your safety by having others around you.

The above mentioned precautionary measures are just a few of the many that you should take. Although you may be worried about hurting someone’s feelings or losing an online friend, you shouldn’t be. Your safety is far too important to be concerned with what others will be thinking or feeling.

Social Networking Websites: Is It Possible to Find Love Online?

Thursday 29 May 2008 @ 11:37 pm

When it comes to finding a new romantic partner, things have changed. In the past relationships were largely developed through chance meetings, setups from friends, or from friendships that flourished into something more. Now, many men and women rely on the internet when it comes to finding a romantic partner. Are you are interested in becoming one of those individuals? If so, there are a few important things that you should know first.

Perhaps, the most important thing to remember is that internet dating is not deemed one hundred percent safe. Although, it is important to note that no form of dating is. The person that you meet at the local bar could be just as weird or as dangerous as someone who you meet online, but still you are advised to take a few precautionary measures. These measures may include, but should not be limited to, giving out limited personal information and agreeing to meet an online date in a public location, not at your home. By understanding the importance of these and other precautionary measures, you should have fun using the internet to find a date.

When it comes to finding an online date or romantic partner, there are many individual who flock to online dating websites. Online dating websites are websites that allow you to meet other internet users. You can not only view online pictures of these individuals, but learn more about them by reading their profiles and by making contact. Depending on the online dating website you are using, you should also be able to use other services and features, should they be offered.

Online dating websites are often referred to, well as, online dating websites. Despite the fact that they have obtained their own unique title, did you know that online dating websites are also considered social networking websites? When it comes to social networking websites, many individuals automatically think of MySpace or something similar. While these websites may not focus specifically on creating relationships, their purpose is the same. That purpose is to make it easier for internet users to connect with other internet users, especially ones that they share a common bond.

Although most online dating websites will allow you to contact any online member, you are advised to search for those that share the same interests as you. This may help to give you better luck in the love department. In addition to love, it is also possible that you could find an online friend that you have a lot in common with. This online friendship could be great, especially if the love part didn’t work out as well as you had intended it to.

As previously mentioned, you will want to be cautious when it comes to setting up a first date between you and your online partner. First dates are scary, especially when they are with someone that you have never met before. If you are concerned with your safety, you may want to join an online networking website or dating website that offers safe places for their members to meet. These places are often held in popular bars or night clubs on specific nights. In addition to parties where you can meet up with your online friend or partner, you can also find dating websites that have speed dating parties. If you are shy about meeting someone online, these types of get-togethers may be just what you need to break the ice.

If you are interested in becoming one of the millions of internet users who use the internet to find love, you will need to find an online dating website or social networking website to join. Most of these websites can be found with a standard internet search. In your search, you will likely see that online dating websites tend to charge monthly fess, whereas traditional social networking websites do not. If you are unsure as to whether or not you should pay the fee to join an online dating website, you are advised to ask for a free trail, if one is not already available. These free trials may prove helpful in determining whether or not the online dating website you are interested in joining is even worth your time and money.

Social Networking Websites: How to Find Them

Thursday 29 May 2008 @ 10:28 pm

Each day, in the United States, millions of Americans communicate with each other online. In addition to communicating with other Americans, many are communicating with those on the other side of the world. This communication is due, largely in part, to online social networking websites.  If you are interested in joining the growing number of internet users who use social networking websites, you will have to find a network to join.

When it comes to finding social networking websites, you have a number of different options.  Perhaps, the easiest way to find a social networking website is by performing a standard internet search. You may want to search with the words social networking or social networking websites. Whichever search phrase you choose, there is a good chance that you will be presented with a long list of websites.

You can also find and familiarize yourself with social networking websites by talking to those that you know. The internet, as well as social networks, has rapidly increased in popularity. That popularity means that there is a good chance that one of your relatives, friends, coworkers, or neighbors has used a specific social networking website in the past.  In fact, many may have even used more than one.  If you know someone who has, you will want to ask them their recommendations.  You will find that most social networking websites come highly rated, but there are some out there that may not even be worth your time.

In addition to speaking to those that you actually know, you can also seek recommendations from those that you do not personally know.  You can do this online.  Online, you should be able to find a number of websites that discuss social networking sites.  Many of these websites have reviewed a collection of social networking sites.  In addition to reviews and other articles, you should also be able to speak with other internet users on online message boards.  Like speaking to one of your friends, many internet users would be more than willing to let you know what social networking websites are worth the time and which ones are not.

Although it is nice to receive recommendations from those that you know or other internet users, you are advised to make your own decision.  Whether or not a social networking website comes highly recommended, you are still encouraged to check it out first.  A large number of social networking websites are free to use; therefore, there are no risks associated with giving the site a try. Despite the fact that most online social networking sites are free to use, there are some that you must pay for.  A large number of these websites offer free trials.  Even if the trial period is only for a few days, you should easily be able to get a feel of the site’s environment and determine whether or not it is right for you.

In your search for a social networking website, whether you perform your own internet search or rely on recommendations from others, you should be able to find a number of popular websites. Those websites may include, but should not be limited to, Yahoo! 360, MySpace, Classmates, and Orkut. The good news about this is that if you are not satisfied with the social networking website you joined, you don’t have to worry; there are many more available for you to choose from.

Have fun friending.

Tuesday 27 May 2008 @ 7:06 pm

Do you love using the internet to meet and talk to new people? If so, there is a good chance that you have heard of social networking websites before. If you have not, you will want to familiarize yourself with them because they are rapidly becoming the most popular way to communicate with others online.

If you weren’t already aware, social networking websites are website that essentially act as an internet communities. While all social networking websites have their own rules and restrictions, many websites operate in a similar way, with similar goals. Their goals are to allow internet users to connect with other internet users online, often from all around the world. What is nice about social networking websites is that they come in a wide variety of different forms. There are many websites that are considered “general,” websites. These websites do not really have any particular focus, but there are social networking websites that do have a particular focus. Those focuses often include dating, religion, and school.

If online social networking seems interesting to you, you will have to find a community to join. You can easily do this a number of different ways. By speaking to those that you know, on and offline, you could be alerted to popular social networking websites. You can also find these websites on your own by performing a standard internet search. Whether you perform your own search or rely on recommendations from others, it is likely that you will find a fairly large number of social networking websites. Just a few of those websites that may find include Classmates, Orkut, Yahoo! 360, and MySpace.

Orkut is Google’s version of a social networking website. This website was created and officially launched in 2004. Orkut has a large number of member, form all around the world. What is nice about Orkut is that the system is easy to use, that is once you get in. To protect their social networking communities, a large number of social networking websites, including Orkut, have restricted access to the site. If you are interested in joining Orkut you must know someone who is already a member and they must invite you to join the community. If you do not personally know any Orkut member, there is a good chance that you could connect with and obtain an invitation from someone you meet online.

Classmates is an online social networking website that is rapidly increasing in popularity. This website focuses on connecting long lost friends or old classmates. Classmates is free to use, but you must become a paying member to enjoy many of their member benefits. These benefits include, but are not limited to, searching for old classmates, reading their profiles, requesting more information from your classmates, or even contacting them.

MySpace is another popular social networking website that can be found online. In fact, MySpace is known as being the most popular online social networking website. They currently have over one hundred million members! MySpace, like many other social networking websites allows you to create your own profile, in fact, your own personal page. Once your page has been created, you can easily invite other members to become a member of your network and visa versa. In addition to having a traditional profile page, with your personal information, you can also display a large number of pictures, video clips, and music clips. Although there are a number of features that makes MySpace so popular, the most popular reason for its popularity is that fact that it is completely free to use.

As previously mentioned, MySpace, Classmates, and Orkut are just a few of the many social networking websites that you can find online. Additional sites include FriendFinder, Yahoo! 360, and more. To learn more about each of these sites or to join their community, you are advised to visit their online websites and request additional information. You should be able to find these websites by performing a standard internet search.

3 easy step to Automate your SFI business

Tuesday 27 May 2008 @ 12:13 pm

Today I will be sharing my strategies to grow and automate my SFI business to help all of my team members to do exactly the same.

The setup instruction are outlined in 3 easy steps you can do. But first, you must be an SFI affiliate. So if you havent join SFI, you can do so join here. Its free.

Let me share with you how I brought in over 805 affiliates all on Autopilot.

Below is a screen shot of my SFI account

SFI Affiliate report

Step 1, lets configure the autoresponder system to put your business on Auto Pilot.

I can’t stress enough the importance of following up with SFI signups. I would imagine that my business would be nowhere near as successful as it has been were it not for following up using my various autoresponders. What’s more it is now totally on AUTO-PILOT!

Below I will show you how to upload the followups from my personal autoresponder into your own. Then I will explain how to customise these messages with your own personal and affiliate info so that they look like your own and more importantly you get any credit for sales made from them. The affiliate info included will be your Plug In Profit Site, SFI, and Traffic Swarm.

These messages will also go a long way to supporting and encouraging your personal affiliates to upgrade their SFI accounts.

Bookmark this page (Press Ctrl + D on your keypad) and pass it on to all your affiliates. The more this process is duplicated the better for us all.

Below I will outline a step by step process for implimenting the steps above. You must have a Getresponse Pro account to do this. If you don’t already have a Getresponse account then you can get one here.

If you already have a Getresponse account then read on:You will need to set up a new responder at your Getresponse account. To set up a new responder log into your Getresponse and click the “Setup & Manage Lists” on the left hand side. Then click the “Create a new list” link and set up a new responder. You will need to name it something original.

Download my SFI followup messages HERE, and create them in your account.

  • Log into your getresponse account by clicking here.
  • Log into your “New” responder by choosing it from the drop down menu at the top left of your screen.
  • Click the “Create New Messages” link at near the top of the screen.
  • Select I do not need a template, then hit next step.
  • Copy day one content and hit add message.
  • Repeat this step until you have completed all the follow up message with the day interval

That’s it! Well done, you have loaded my follow up messages into your account. Now you need to customise them with YOUR affiliate IDs and personal info. To do this follow the remaining steps:

Before your Getresponse account is completely configured you need to make sure that your details and affiliate links have been entered in the correct place so that they will be entered in the appropriate emails in your followup series.

Adding Your Variables To Getresponse

The “variables” section in your Getresponse is basically where you can make a change with one or two clicks and effect the links in all your messages.

This means that I can set up an email campaign, you can upload them and by adding YOUR variables you changes links in the messages automatically without having to change every message manually or individually.

For example one affiliate id in your Getresponse messages may look like this http://www.[[pre_sfi_id]]/MG
By going and inserting a variable in the [[pre_sfi_id]] field of the “variables” section of Getresponse you can automatically change this link in your followups. In this case I would insert quickinfo247.com/235051 in the [[pre_sfi_id]] field.

Now lets see how we add your “variables” which effect every message in your followups.

Please note: If you are not a member of any of these programs then it is important that you leave something in the variable fields otherwise there will be dead links in your emails.

Adding Your “Variables” Steps:

  • Along the top of your Getresponse page click the “Prospects” section, scroll down to “Variables” and click.
  • You should now be on the “Variables” page. Scroll down and you will see two form fields which read “Variable Name” and “Predefined Value” respectively and a check box which read “add also for slave accounts”. Usung these boxes you will add your info to the followup messages. Let us see how to do it.
  • Here is a list of what each variable relates to and how to add YOUR info:
    1. name_id = This is your “name”. If you don’t know this then you need more than a followup series;-). To add YOUR info: In the “Variable Name:” box add the words “name_id” without the quotes. In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR name(ie John Smith). Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.

You can get your own website here. To add YOUR info: In the “Variable Name:” box add the words “domain_id” without the quotes. In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR website domain name(ie freeadvertz.com). Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.
    3. plugintraining_domain = This is your Plugin Profits Training site address. If you don’t have a training site for your Plug in team nor a Plugin site then leave this and move on to the next step. To add YOUR info: In the “Variable Name:” box add the words “plugintraining_domain” without the quotes. In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR training site address(ie myteamtraining.com). Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.

In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR Plug In Profits affiliate domain name and affiliate number(ie pluginprofitsite.com/main-7387). Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.
    5. sfi_domain = This is your SFI affiliate domain name. To add YOUR info: In the “Variable Name:” box add the words “sfi_domain” without the quotes. In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR SFI affiliate domain name and number(ie moreinfo247.com/8902557). Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.
    6. trafficswarm_domain = This is your Traffic Swarm affiliate ID. If you don’t have a Traffic Swarm id you can get one here(This is free to join). If you don’t want to do this then just leave then leave this and move on to the next step. To add YOUR info: In the “Variable Name:” box add the words “trafficswarm_domain” without the quotes. In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR Traffic Swarm affiliate domain and number(ie trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?318138. Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.
    7. trainingsite_domain = This is your SFI Training site address. If you don’t have a training site for your team then then leave this and move on to the next step. To add YOUR info: In the “Variable Name:” box add the words “trainingsite_domain” without the quotes. In the “Predefined Value:” box add YOUR training site address(ie sfielite.com). Leave the “add also for slave accounts” box unchecked. Click the “Add/Update Variable” button.

Congratulations! That’s it you have set up your SFI Followups now all you need to do is come to your Getresponse account whenever you get a new affiliate and add them to the series(See below for instructions).
